Ríkharður Ibsen

Managing Director, GRP Iceland

Ríkharður Ibsen is the Managing Director of the Geothermal Resource Park of Iceland. He has been working closely with Cornell University for more than a decade on developing renewable and sustainability approaches and to achieve more ambitious climate change goals using Iceland as a showcase. He has also worked closely with the Renewable Energy Cluster of Iceland for many years on promotion and strategic development.

Ríkharður has served on the boards of many different companies and as a member of many commissions and committees. He is a former member of the Board of Directors at Promote Iceland and founder and former chairman and director of the Confederation of employers on the Reykjanes Peninsula.

Ríkharður has created numerous business plans and been involved with many business start-ups, research and reconstruction projects.
